This Winter and Spring has brought some really exciting things. I just wanted to share some cool stuff with you all.

My friends at Scholastic keep making the coolest stuff! How lucky am I that I get to make some of it? Shark Lab was a dream project. I got to design super cool techy pages and research/retouch insanely awesome shark and ray art. As a kid, I was obsessed with animal books…especially ones about sharks (hammerheads were my favorite)!! I can just picture my younger self completely geeking out over this kit!

OK, so I can’t say too much about the upcoming book illustration project yet. But wanted to share a bit of the art with you all. This little pachyderm protagonist will see you this summer! I will let the word out soon! Keep your eyes peeled . . . and your sunscreen on!

Gearing up for this wonderful new project with the super-cool Vanessa Garcia and the swell folks at Cardinal Rule Press! I can’t spill too many beans just yet. But stay tuned for lovely story and some cute scribbles!

WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS NOW…

So….this amazing publisher is so new that they’re still a few weeks from sharing their launch list (Spring 22)! This gives me the warm fuzzies for a few reasons.

First, they are doing good for the world. KW is committed to connecting the world through stories—stories that express kids’ big feelings, big questions, and big dreams, stories that celebrate curiosity and build bridges.
(I totally stole that last part from their site.)

Second, They have asked me to work with them to create the visual voice and tone for the exciting and sweet books they are publishing.

Third, the people are awesome and I get to make wonderful books with them.
